Maker Faire Denver Announcement

Maker Faire Denver is the first Feature Maker Faire in the Rocky Mountains and surrounding states! It joins 20 esteemed Feature Faire cities around the world such as Paris, Rome, Tokyo and Atlanta! Denver/Loveland has hosted 9 Mini/Maker Faires since 2013 with the local community of makers, artists, educators, DIYers and businesses.

They were produced from 2013 – 2018 by a passionate and tireless group of Denver and Northern Colorado area locals including several host nonprofits which included, Colorado Maker Hub, Making Progress and [i am a maker].

Among the years starting 2013, this team produced 9 maker faires under the Maker Media brand name: Maker Faire™. In June of 2019, Maker Media ceased operations and was reformed under the LLC, Make Community, and continues to license their brand name for events and publish Make: Magazine.

We are the team who brought you these nine Maker Faire™ events in the Denver metro area starting in 2013 and a 30ft robot that shoots fire and lasers in 2014, a 6ft live Tesla Coil in 2015 and a wooden walking robot crawler the size of an SUV in 2016, a Combat Bot Competition extravaganza in 2017 and a Hebocon Crappy Robot Contest in 2018…

…we are here among you in the community and are people you already know!

You may or may not know all our names over the years, but we have stood beside you – making, sharing, designing, fabricating, teaching, crafting, listening, learning and moving ideas forward from within the local diy community in Colorado.

Though we have chosen not to continue using the maker faire brand name for our future events, we continue to support the community with an assemblage of events under our new brand: Make It Colorado.

Connect with us online and meet and share with the community. Discover local resources, educational opportunities and jobs. Attend an event, volunteer with us, or just say hi and reconnect.

The [i am a maker] Team
